Hey Niels you can just buy a cheap USB headset for PC and use that!!
I already had a PC USB headset so I tried it and it worked!!
Pros:
-Cheaper
-Sound out of BOTH ears (sony one is only one ear)
-Won't go flat (~4 hours chrage i think jezza said)
Cons:
-They have a cord (Unless you buy a wireless one but I havent looked into them)
Basically you have to sit near the ps3 but you might be able to buy Blu-tooth or wireless ones and they might still be cheaper than the official $ony headset.

But the thing is that when the official mic is charging you can still use it eg it sits on a charging dock and you just talk out loud and hear the others out the TV speakers.

But for a cheaper price you don't have to charge at ALL and can get stereo sound!
The only way I'd probably get one is if it came with KZ2.
